Technology & Principles

TRIO is a multi-purpose spectrometer - radiometer system for detecting gamma, beta, alpha radiation and measuring specific activity, volumetric activity of radioactive isotopes in various types of samples. The device operates based on the principle of receiving and recording signals from detection blocks for each specific radiation energy range, then transmitting the signals through a multi-channel analyzer and analysis software to determine the energy spectrum as well as measure the total alpha/beta activity or each isotope.

Integrated three-in-one multi-purpose solution (TRIO)

Meeting all the needs for gamma, beta, and alpha radiation analysis on the same system, helping to identify both natural isotopes (Ra-226, Th-232, K-40, Rn-222) and artificial ones (Cs-137, Cs-134, Co-60, Tc-99m, Sr-90) and measure total alpha/beta activity in water.

Minimizing errors for low activity measurements caused by environmental background radiation.

Lead shielding combined with a sturdy base helps minimize the impact of background radiation thanks to the lead shielding (lead shielding with stable platform), ensuring high stability and accuracy when analyzing environmental samples, food, soil, or construction materials.

Expanding the number of measurement channels with optional capabilities and simultaneous multi-channel control.

Eliminating operational barriers thanks to software that allows simultaneous control of multiple channels, freely selecting channels according to application, and easily expanding the number of measurement channels as demand increases.

Design of small measurement chambers & Energy saving.: Optimizing the workspace thanks to the compact size of each measurement chamber (compact size of each chamber) along with low power consumption.

Integration/ Expansion:

The device supports 100% remote control through a computer software package with an intuitive, user-friendly interface. The system covers a wide energy range (gamma: 40–3000 keV; beta: 65–4000 keV; alpha: 1500–10000 keV) with a maximum counting rate of > 5∙10^4 cps. And is equipped with a complete set of detection blocks, lead shielding, multi-channel analyzer, connection cable set, and specialized analysis software package.
