Technology & Principle:
Amber-2 operates on the principle of converting alpha particle energy into an electrical signal, amplifying and transforming it into a spectrum for energy and radiation intensity analysis. The system is equipped with a stainless steel vacuum chamber integrated with a Silicon Ion Implantation Detector (SIID) with an area of up to 1200 mm², combined with a preamplifier and multi-channel analyzer (MCA) to record the obtained signals.
Automatic high-voltage cutoff (High-voltage cutoff)
Automatically cuts off high voltage as soon as a vacuum loss is detected in the measurement chamber, ensuring safety for the semiconductor probe and electronic components.
Supports large sample sizes and flexible sample holder adjustment
BVacuum chamber supports samples with a diameter of up to 50 mm, allowing customization of the sample-probe distance from 4 mm to 48 mm (adjustment step of 4 mm) to optimize counting performance.

Eliminates noise and baseline drift at high counting rates (supports up to 50,000 pulses/s with noise level < 3 mV), while ensuring long-term measurement accuracy thanks to real-time correction (live time correction), integrated pulse generator, and high amplifier stability (< 0.0075%/s).
Integration/ Expansion:
Amber-2 is compatible with most commercial standard alpha probe lines, especially the large area SIID type of 1200 mm² and the pulse feedback preamplifier. The device integrates a reverse bias feature (reverse bias) on the sample holder, supporting measurement of probe leakage current (1 nA to 10 µA). The entire system is centrally managed through AlphaPRO software on a computer, allowing monitoring of vacuum indicators, spectral analysis, and control of operating parameters.
