Detailed description
Technology & Principles
RF Nanonis is a radio frequency (RF) signal generator, compact design, wide frequency range, and ultra-low phase noise. It operates based on the principle of generating and modulating continuous wave (CW) or pulsed (pulsed RF/MW) signals in the frequency range from 1 MHz to 40 GHz, integrating a pulse coordinator achieving a time resolution of less than 10 ns for fast pulse modulation without the need for an external arbitrary waveform generator (AWG). The signal is fully processed and controlled through Nanonis software with real-time measurement capabilities via a triggering mechanism.
Signal generation technology with low phase noise
Minimizes frequency instability due to ultra-low phase noise index (achieving -147 dBc at a 100 kHz offset with a 1 GHz carrier, or -118 dBc/Hz at a 30 GHz carrier), providing optimal spectral purity for ESR measurements.
Integrated Trigger-engine mechanism and fast switching capability
Eliminates dependence on expensive auxiliary pulse generating devices thanks to high-speed pulse modulation right on the device, supporting a minimum pulse width of 30 ns and a switching time (rise/fall time) of only 10 ns with extremely low trigger uncertainty. The fast switching capability of only 500 µs helps optimize the data collection time for wideband sweep measurements.
