Detailed description
Technology & principles
Alpha300 access is a confocal Raman microscope system with the basic principle: the laser light is focused through the objective onto the sample, the Raman scattered signal is collected through the same objective, through a pinhole to eliminate out-of-focus signals, and then analyzed by the UHTS spectrometer. The system allows for single point spectrum acquisition or 2D mapping using a motorized or optional piezo scanning stage.
Common limitations of Raman:
- Laboratories with limited budgets still need a high sensitivity and high resolution Raman imaging system.
- New users approaching Raman imaging need a user-friendly system that is not overly complex but still ensures scientific results.
- The need to change configurations in the future (add lasers, add AFM mode, SNOM) but do not want to purchase a new machine.
Advantages of the Alpha300 access system:
- alpha300 access provides a UHTS spectrometer and high-quality confocal optics at a competitive price.
- The Suite SIX software with an intuitive interface, step-by-step guidance, suitable for beginners.
- Fully compatible and upgradable to alpha300 R, RA (Raman-AFM), RS (Raman-SNOM), RISE (Raman-SEM), TERS, etc.
Integration & expansion
- Can accommodate up to 4 laser sources from UV to NIR, switched via software.
- Integration of a motorized or piezo scanning stage for Raman mapping.
- Optional temperature stage (4K to 1500°C).
- TrueSurface™, TruePower™, ParticleScout, TrueMatch™ database modules can be added later.
- Compatible with WITec accessories such as the polarizer, RayShield (low wave number), StrobeLock (FLIM).
