On the morning of May 21, General Secretary, President To Lam chaired a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee on the development of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation, providing opinions on the project for research, application, and development of quantum technology to serve economic and social development, ensuring national defense and security.
The General Secretary, President assessed that quantum technology is a new, difficult field, evolving rapidly, directly related to science and technology, national security, strategic industrial digital transformation, and the long-term competitiveness of the country. Therefore, agencies need to continue to study more deeply, systematically, and strategically to complete the project for the development of quantum technology in Vietnam, meeting the requirements for strategic autonomy in the upcoming period.
